The only way for any one to get a good look at the horses and jockeys is with the help of binoculars. No one is allowed near them during race day. Jockeys are sequestrated and only a handful of hand picked employees have access to the racetrack. Owners, wagerers and journalists must always remain in the grandstands. Allegedly, this is done to prevent the jockeys from corruption and race fixing.
