| Objective | Butler, Shine & Stern
is not your average ad agency. Young, urbane,
and ironic, they commissioned Atlas to produces a Web site that
would capture the friendly yet sophisticated character of their
Sausalito office. The Web site would also serve as a delivery
platform for samples of their work in print, video, and locations,
for such clients as Anheuser-Busch and Round Table Pizza. |
|
| Solution | Atlas took the company car over the Golden Gate bridge to absorb
some atmosphere at the BS&S office, and left with a few armfuls
of resources. We knew their potential clients would appreciate
high-quality graphics, but we also decided a simple, clean, and
elegant interface would best capture the BS&S flavor -- and best
serve a larger audience. Amy Franceschini, Atlas's senior designer,
worked closely with the client to develop the look and feel, mixing
modern and antique modes in the style of Butler Shine campaigns. Atlas
creative director Olivier Laude, meanwhile, developed an architecture that flowed
like a tour through the BS&S office. The most whimsical touch is
the "Dogs" section, starring the friendly pooches who frequent the office,
and featuring QuickTime VR panoramas from a dog's-eye point of view. |
